As part of Uganda Innovation week 2022 (uiwug.com), Sharebility Uganda was nominated as StartUp of the Year 2022 along side other innovations, and emerged the best in the education category!
Minister of State for National guidance, Kabbyanga Godfrey delivered closing remarks at the UIW2022, bringing the 3 -day event to a close. He called for more synchronized collaboration between the government and the startup ecosystem in Uganda.
About Sharebility Uganda Digital Library
Sharebility digital library provides educationists, learners and home-schooling parents with access to digital educational resources. The project’s main objective is to crowdsource digital educational resources and make them widely available to the education community. By promoting collaboration and the sharing of resources, Sharebility Uganda Limited aims to reduce the time and cost of creating curriculum content for educational institutions. The project also aims to build teacher networks and promote the spirit of sharing educational resources in schools.
The main actions of Sharebility Uganda digital library include:
- Creating and maintaining a digital library that enables educationists to publish, share, and market their digital teaching and learning content.
- Crowdsourcing digital educational resources and making them widely available to educationists, learners, and home-schooling parents.
- Building teacher networks and promoting the spirit of sharing educational resources in schools.
- Supporting learners, home-schooling parents, and teachers with free and premium content.
The main results and impact of Sharebility Uganda digital library include:
- Increased access to digital educational resources for educationists, learners, and home-schooling parents, particularly for marginalized groups, learners in crisis and emergency contexts, pandemics, and learners with disabilities.
- Reduced time and cost associated with creating curriculum content for educational institutions.

Highlights of achievement of Sharebility Uganda digital library include:
- Supporting over 6 million learners, home-schooling parents and teachers with free and premium content since the COVID-19 school lockdown.
