END OF TERM 1 EXAMINATION 2024 GOOD SAMARITAN SCHOOL PHYSICS PAPER 1 FOR S.4.
This Senior Four Physics Paper 1 is an End of Term I Examination resource from Good Samaritan School for the 2024 academic year. It provides learners with an opportunity to assess their understanding of Physics concepts studied during the first term and to practise applying scientific knowledge in a formal examination setting.
The paper can help learners develop confidence in answering Physics questions that require careful interpretation, recall of principles, logical reasoning and appropriate application of formulae. It also provides useful experience in working within a specified time, which is an important part of effective examination preparation at this level.
For teachers, the assessment can be used to monitor learner progress and identify topics that may require additional attention. The results can inform revision planning, remedial instruction and classroom activities. Questions that prove challenging can be revisited during correction lessons, allowing learners to understand their mistakes and strengthen their conceptual understanding.
Learners can also use the paper for independent practice. Before consulting their notes or receiving assistance, they can attempt the questions under examination conditions and record areas where they experience difficulty. Reviewing these areas afterwards can help them develop a more focused revision plan.
Physics requires learners to connect mathematical procedures with physical meaning. When working through numerical questions, students should identify the quantities given, choose appropriate relationships, use correct units and check whether their answers are reasonable. This assessment provides an opportunity to practise these habits.
The paper can also support collaborative learning. Selected questions may be discussed in pairs or groups, allowing learners to compare methods and explain the scientific principles behind their answers. Such activities can strengthen communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
